I started the traditional way:
564B90E7-EC36-4A0C-B0F8-8D35763824F7.jpeg

Pros: works, established
Cons: Not a fixed position, wearing Drygloves I always had to feel for the correct position.
Not really breakable, you have to cut when nescessary.

After a little searching I found this:
FD380B76-DE39-41DB-969F-0ABAF565308A.jpeg

Pros: Fixed position. With one touch my thumb was at the right position
Cons: Metal connection

After another search I found this:
8AE5C1BA-F350-484E-9172-F84B4316CA69.jpeg

The Breakaway Connector
Pros: very easy to remove
Cons: As with the first solution not a fixed position

Then I got this idea:
5938882A-D493-44E5-AB98-7557BFC9A590.jpeg

The Breakaway Connector combinded with a double ender by a O-ring.
Pros: Fixed. One touch and I my thumb is at the right position to manipulate the double ender.
Easy to remove.

The clip should go one palm width away from the secondary and should be tied off with Cave line. Not that clip in the pic. It does not get in the way at all. I dive a long hose and I have done so for years that way. When you donate the long hose the clip is not in the way. It should be tied onto the hose itself, not the swivel.
