We would like a hotel recommendation that is in or near the Manilla airport. We will be arriving on August 4 at the International terminal and will be leaving from the domestic terminal on August 5. We are seeing bad recommendations online with advice not to trust hotel photos and that the hotels are dirty. Thought I would try scubaboard to find out what people had to say. TIA

Well,

There are three "International Terminals" depending on what airline you are flying. Terminal 1, Terminal 2 (Philippine Airlines) and Terminal 3.

Like @Damselfish, I stay at the Marriott when I have a short stay in Manila. There is also a Sheraton, Hilton, and Holiday Inn Express in the same area (Newport) directly across the NAIA Express Way from Terminal 3.

There are FOUR terminals all together.
Most domestic flights use T3(international as well) and a few use T4(exclusively for domestic).
AFAIK there is NO easy access to any hotel from T1, 2 and 4.
There are several nice one in Newport City just across the road from T3. There is a cover way.

You need to find out your arrival/departure terminal as well as the departure time of the flight on 05 Aug 2023 first.

Centrals is spot on. The Belmont is perfectly adequate. Small but well appointed rooms and an excellent buffet breakfast. Easy walk to restaurants or even the casino from there.

We are arriving in Terminal 2 at 4:00 on a 24 clock which I assume means 4:00 AM.

What airline are you taking next? And to where?

We are going to Dumaguete. They do not say what airline we are taking. I have emailed and asked but I do not have an answer yet.

Only PAL flights landed at T2.
However, this is the arrival schedule for today 26th Dec:
Flights from LAX, SFO landed at T1 around 04:00.

Given the arrival time, you may need to pay for 2 nights for less than 24 hrs stay. Early check in is at the discrepancy of the hotel.

Are you using a agent?
PAL will sell you a through ticket from LAX or SFO to Dumaguete. There is a late morning flight from MNL to DGT so no need to spend a night in Manila.
