You might also check your manual for a setting called "continuous autofocus." My 4300 did this. Not sure about your 5600. When continuous autofocus is on, your camera will focus constantly, reducing shutter lag. Drawbacks include decreased battery life and fewer shots actually in focus. This will not eliminate shutter lag, only reduce it somewhat. Good luck.

Also, look at getting professional grade memory for it. Usually professional grade is faster memory, the faster it can write to memory the faster it is ready to process the next image. The larger te format (mega pixels) the more this becomes apparent.

Unfortunately it's not generally the memory, but the camera buffer and write speed. It's only been recently that even DSLR's can match the speed of the memory available. So the trick is to match the card to the camera's capabilities. This is difficult. About the only way to really do so is to find internet sites where they have done performance tests with the camera you shoot or a very similar version, and see where the camera maxes out. Dpreview often has some of this information in the Timings section of his reviews, but he often does not use anything but very fast cards. This could however give some indication as to if the camera is keeping up. If the timings are about the same between different speed cards, then the camera is and not the card is the limiting factor.

BTW, this has nothing to do with shutter lag, but rather shot to shot lag where the buffer is not clearing fast enough to allow the next shot.
