How do I transfer videos to laptop?

Windows Explorer. You probably need to set the camera to "DSC" as Mike suggested first so that your camera appears as a hard drive to your computer. Then plug in the USB cable and navigate to the cameras drive/directory. It will probably be listed as External drive "E" where is E is the first free drive letter on your computer.

Then find the movies, probably with .wmv or .mov extensions. Use Windows Explorer to copy them to your harddrive and play them.

Um, you are using a PC right? If not, then just set your camera to DSC, plug in the cable and the drive should appear on the Mac Desktop. Just drag the files onto your desktop or wherever you want them.
