How far ahead should one book a flight?

Hello all
I am looking at trips in May 2023 around Ambon and Saumlaki
Specifically Denpasar to Ambon and then Saumlaki to Denpasar or Manado.

Is it too early to book a domestic flight? Will more be added or if a booked flight is cancelled, will the carrier rebook or am I SOL?

Online booking only allows you to book so far ahead. But if the price is right... why not.

Local flights price almost don't change unless you're getting close to the expected date so no worries on that matter.
If flight is cancelled you will be refunded and will need to book another one. You should use traveloka it is the number 1 website for local flights and works well !
