Just a little less than that.

It all depends on how ready you are to deal with something going wrong.

You only bring what you need for the dive that you are going to be doing. If I am doing a TEC dive or a rec dive deep or maybe a vacation series of dives I will use 2 computers all the time so that I have a back up that has my dive profile matching my primary. If I am doing a day dive and want a light to add the color back in I would bring a nice light, but if I was doing the same dive at night I would bring a back up or 2 as well. If I am doing a drift dive in deep water a couple of different cutting devices would be fine but if I was doing a Public Safety dive on a sunk boat I would have at least 3 cutting devices in different locations and of different types.

SO in essence bring what you need and only what you need.

The guy forgot his Scooter LOL
