Ha, we had an antenna up on the roof, strapped to the chimney. To set up, dad had to be up there to rotate the antenna while we had a relay to tell him if the picture was better or worse. Very rich people had an electric antenna rotator.
 
We weren't rich, but when the cloud cover or ionosphere disturbance was just right we could choose between Philly and Baltimore stations
 
I can't speak for anybody else, but here is my age spread on my boat over the last two years. The electronic waivers give you a lot of information.

Unfortunately for number of dives, I don't have check boxes, so it makes for a much larger spread. I just did one month last summer as it gets crazy if you add too much time.
