For anyone interested - DAN PDE (Project Dive Exploration) is looking for divers
with at least 10 dives over the summer to participate by uploading their dive profiles. By registering for PDE with DAN and requesting an FRC code(Field Research Coordinator) you can still participate even though the Aeris computers don't directly support download/export to the DAN format.

For the T3 (don't know about other Aeris DCs), there is a relatively easy way - export your Elite T3 log to the comma-delimited format. Go to the DiveLog 4.0 website (Diving Log 4.0 - Scuba Log, Dive Log, Divelog - Logbook software for scuba diving - Logbuch Software zum Tauchen) and download DiveLog 4.0. After installing, use the DiveLog 4.0 Import for "OceanLog" and select the file you exported from the Aeris interface. Once you've selected the dives and completed the import you can export from DiveLog 4.0 to the DAN DL7 format and then email your input with DAN compatible logs attached to the PDE.

Go to the PDE site (DAN Divers Alert Network : Medical Research : Project Dive Exploration : Participate) to learn more and sign up.

This seems like an Interesting study - I send my dives to them from my Uwatec computer

Divers need to register and get a # from DAN before participating and also complete a 48 hr report each time they send in their dive logs.
