EDIT(on a serious note):....just the acetone recommendation----that's what I'd try too.......
 
Jack_K - Just out of curiosity, which brand of lenses did you use and aside from the removal challenge, were you happy with them? I'm thinking of getting a pair for my back up mask...

Aquatic Optics is what I've used for the past several years. I love the product, though they aren't always easy to work with, directly.

They can cut a lens for any mask, and for me, I've always gone with dual lens mask and bifocals bonded to the original rather than adding readers. Truly a world of difference.
