I think that with this new reef that has been placed down, we are going to begin to see a whole lot more fish that we haven't seen before.

New reef cool ... where?

I was bit like 2 years ago, I have also played with the sand perch (like every dive) and they pick at you as well while you look for finds. Especially if you fan the bottom, they love that. But they do not hurt when they bite :wink:
 
This fish was definitely not a sand perch. I know what they look like. I still say it was some kind of wrasse. When they did the beach renourishment, they dropped 6ft x 6ft blocks of limestone down, in about 17 ft of water, running from the pipes at Alhambra north, towards the Venice Public Beach.
 
this thread made my day (i'm easily amused). especially the OP's husband that was playing with a slippery dick...wait...what? :D

actually, lately i've been diving with a hood because i'm tired of getting nibbled at or stung in the face/head by stuff.
