Does anyone have knowledge or experience with knife blades made of HYDRALLOY? It's advertised as having the strength of 416SS and corrosion resistance of 316SS.

I have the UK Fusilier, which is made of Hydralloy. I've had it on about 20 dives - so far so good. My last trip was 7 days of diving, then drove home as soon as I got off the boat. The knife didn't get rinsed until I got home. No rust on the blade, only a small spot of rust (which came off easily) under the plastic handle. It sharpened up reasonably well, seems to be holding an edge well, but I haven't used it much.

what i know the 316 is the same grade that use in surgical operation not knife but part that have to put in our body. usually knife will made by 400 series but 300 series has less chance to be rust than 400
