I have an old hyper aqualand (D208) that I had no problems using with my old computer (winXP with an actual serial port)

I now am using a Win10/x86_64 laptop with no serial port.

per the Citizen website the graph application and old driver explicitly don't work and are not supported for Win10 (due to the unsigned 32 bit serial driver)

so I bought a generic USB2.0 to serial adapter, installed the driver and downloaded the subsurface application

I am getting "download failed" when I try to download the data. has anybody tried this and figured out what to do to make it go?
