Did an hour long solo dive at the local quarry last weekend. I just cruised along the wall at about 25 ft around the perimeter. After teaching a deep course, it was nice to just go along & be alone with my thoughts. Nothing but my breathing & heartbeat for sound.:zen: Some "me time". True therapy.

It can be great at times. I enjoy a nice easy solo dive when I can. Peaceful.

Solo diving truly can be an incredibly peaceful experience. I've been doing it now for 50 years and believe it is one reason my blood pressure is so good. Of course you always have to keep a part of your brain tuned to any indication of problems, but compared to driving the 405 Freeway in "Lost" Angeles it's a snap.

Ya I greatly prefer diving solo for this very reason.
