Today I saw this round "thing" hanging in a gorgonian; I tried to find in The Reef Set, but didn't find anything that comes close. I live in the tropical region (Curacao, Netherlands Antilles); current water temperature is around 27 Celsius (about 81 F). Depth is about 18 meters (60 feet). Size is approximately 5 cm (2").

Any ideas?

it looks like a juvenile constellation. Now we know where STARS are born!

It looks like an egg,but maybe you should go to Eric Wederfoort in BocaSami
He knows alot on Curacao critters.

I think it might be the brown bubble algae Colpomenia
