hi all.. whats new? hows everyone doin? i havent been divin in a long time. not that i dont want to go but the price of diesel is killin me. costs me a benjamin weekly just to go to work and back. was thinkin sice i havent been out in awhile (over a year :jpshakehe) id drop by the shores in la jolla or some other easy spot on monday just to get my feet wet again. anyone got plans to be around there on monday or any other ideas? im gonna check out my gear tomarrow to make sure its good to go. should be havent messed with it in...FOREVER.... a extra :wazzup: out to teqp, hbdivegirl and christian...

Beg, borrow, or... well, borrow somebody's more fuel efficient car and get thee to the beach, man!

Post on this board and others and see if you can find another Hemet-in-a-Handbasket diver out your way that's willing to share fuel costs for as many dives as you can jam into one day.

Go cheap and get to Gaviota campground this weekend for 2 days of beach diving at assorted locations. (See the Tri-county bbq/picnic thread started by Rickster.)

Or roll to the Wrinkles dive in Laguna on June 10, (which I hafta miss, :-(

The July 8th weekend at Casino Point will definitely be fun, (and you know the conditions are likely to be Island-Wonderful, so at least burning the diesel will be worth it. Many are making a weekend of it... cheap rooms at the Hermosa are still $50/night... find a buddy and split it.)

No diving for a YEAR?!?!?!?! I'm getting hives just thinkin' about it!!

Dude,

Where have you been? You have been missing out for the year. You better save a few $$$ and make it to the Winkle's Dive in June or July. I will be at the June Wrinkle's and there's a 99% chance I'll be at the July as well. If you don't want to spend too much on gas, I'd suggest you go the the July Wrinkle's on Catalina and like HBDiveGirl said, spend the weekend so you can make up for lost time. Whatever you do, get wet!
