I bought a set of kit dive carbon fiber buoyancy arms and four standard clamps. One of the arms twisted the ball out after a few dives, I had to use penetrating oil on two of the clamps after letting them sit for a week after only a few dives. Poor grade stainless. My ultralight clamps have never had problems like that, although one of my 12" buoyancy arms did come apart between the end cap and tube while I was in Mexico. I had to reassemble it with marine sealant, but it's working fine now. The kit dive arm pulled out at the shaft and is irreparable.
