There is a thread over on Wetpixel.com about Inon discontinuing the Z330 and S-2000 strobe. According to the posts, Inon has removed both strobes from its current website and they are only showing up on the Discontinued site. Inon states they are working on replacements for each strobe but did not provide any possible release date.

The tiny and guide number power of 22 Inon S2000 is a fabulous strobe and been around for a long time. I've used them since 2015 and they last forever. The clear thread on battery cap with yellow o-ring visible is the most foolproof battery sealing design EVER.......

Depending on your camera system (I'm a compact Canon G7X II shooter in my Fantasea housing) they can be used for not only macro but wide angle shooting.

Search for my name to see many shots taken with them.

I have 2 practically mint Inon S2000 with or without mounts, cords, etc. from a friend retiring from scuba.

I'll list them today in the Classified section if anyone's interested as a single or pair.

Z330 are great strobes, and while discontinued will run for many years. I have an old Z220 (2004 vintage) still working well. My guess is that sometime in a few months, a Z4xx will appear.

Seeing as Z220 had a guide number of 22, Z240 had a guide number of 24, and Z330 had a guide number of 33, a designation of Z4xx is unlikely, as that would put it way up there with Isotta RED64 in terms of power.

I agree with the naming convention that @Barmaglot states, however, I also agree with the sentiment that @bvanant states, and I would not be surprised to see a new strobe from INON to replace the Z330 in the near futre that would (IMHO) likely be a Z3xx strobe. (Maybe a Z350???)

a circular tubed strobe from inon would be a welcome product especially if the kept the cost similar to the current z330. All the other circular flash tube strobes are considerably more expensive
