For the RX100 cameras there is no standard shutter but only an electronic version (I think) and it can sync at very high speeds.
For traditional cameras you are of course correct, but for the RX100 it is not correct.

The RX100 M4 actually has both mechnical and electronic shutter support. But it uses a mechanical leaf shutter so no strobe sync issues that happen with focal plane shutters. I am not sure how the M4 differs from the previous models of Rx100.
