Thinking about doing a re-breather course when I visit phuket in Dec 06. I have been looking at Pro-Tech Dive College in Karon has anyone had experience of this shop? I was wanting to learn the Buddy Inspiration from AP valves because of the availibility of this unit back here in the UK. Does anyone know of any other shops in Phuket that offer training with this unit? I am looking for a TDI course :D

I'll second dave's recommendation of Bruce.. (ANDIBK)
He's been in thailand a long time, and has experience on several rebreathers.. He also recently organized (and was part of) a rebreather cave exploration expedition.. the dives were over 100m... http://www.scubaboard.com/showpost.php?p=1443959&postcount=7

If you are worried about BSAC recognition, All the ANDI inspiraton classes are recognized and in general are more complete in scope..

You can do TDI courses directly with four different ops here on Phuket (other shops actually use the instructors from these four ops for any TDI training the advertise):

Pro-Tec http://www.protechdivers.com/
Ocean Zone http://www.oceanzonedivers.com/main.html
Deep Blue http://www.deep-blue-divers.de/frameset_en.htm
Igor's Dive Shop perigor2000@yahoo.com

I'm not sure whether Igor offers training with the Inspiration.
