Hey guys!

Just thought I'd introduce a blog I literally just started.

I will be posting stuff related to my work, which involves Philippine coral reef research—subject-matter that is probably of interest to visitors of this particular forum, I hope!

Anyway, my very first post is about a nifty fish identification software called IPez, which I recently introduced to my students in an ichthyology class.

Though it does have its limitations, IPez is pretty easy to use and requires practically zero ichthyological knowledge. This makes it perfect for institutions that don’t always have a resident fish expert available, but may have a need to identify fish specimens for monitoring and management.

If you're interested in my post on IPez (and future marine science-related posts), you can check out my blog at https://moraywords.wordpress.com/
