This Saturday 4/4/09 forecast:
Saturday: NE wind 5 to 8 kt becoming NW in the morning. Sunny. NW swell 9 feet. Wind waves 1 to 2 ft.

With Thursday and friday gale and small craft warning.

I was going to call off the Pt Lobos dive but couple friends really want to go diving. Anyone who are more familier with this kind of weather forecast and Pt Lobos can share advise? Any advise and suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

ok, but in all seriousness... no amount of forecast-juju can replace a set of eyeballs in the parking lot.

...

.SAT...NW WINDS 5 TO 10 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 2 FT.
NW SWELL 7 TO 10 FT.

Many divable days have the same forecast.

Uh, Pt. Lobos isn't between Pigeon Pt. and Pt. Pinos. The appropriate
forecast is the Pt. Pinos to Pt. Piedras Blancas. And the 3 pm forecast
got a little better:

SAT
N WINDS 5 TO 15 KT...BECOMING NW 5 TO 10 KT IN THE
AFTERNOON. WIND WAVES 1 TO 3 FT. NW SWELL 6 TO 9 FT AT 11 SECONDS.

Sunday is looking real nice.
