Innerspace Systems Corp, makers of the Megalodon Rebreather has recently unveiled two new products that may welll revolutionalize the scuba industry. The Pathfinder / Predator rebreather is a recreational level scuba device that will make rebreather diving accessible to those who don't require the extreme capabilities of the Megalodon yet are looking for the high reliability found in ISC products at a reasonable cost. The Pathfinder is a lighter, simpler rebreather but is still quite capable, able to extend bottom time to several hours and able to attain depths well below the 130 ft recreational limit. This unit will be sold at a fraction of the cost of the Megalodon rebreather and due to its simplicity will require less training to be able to use one.

The Nanaimo Dive Outfitters has been able to convince Leon Scamahorn, creator of the Pathfinder rebreather to take some time out of his busy schedule and come to Nanaimo and show off his creation as well as some other new products from ISC. You will be able to try one of these units in the pool and see for yourself the benefits of diving in a quiet bubbless atmosphere. Leon will also be giving a seminar on the state of rebreather technology As well there will be a Megalodon maintenance and user repair seminar conducted by Ron Micjan, a factory trained rebreather technician. Ron will demonstrate how to conduct general maintenance as well as field repairs to the unit to keep it running safely and efficiently.
Tryouts will commence at Beban Pool in Nanaimo at 8am and continue to 11am on Sunday December 6th. If you are local to the area it is recommended you come early. The repair seminar willl be held at Beban Arena conference room at 1pm and run until 4pm or so. Cost will be $25 for the tryout and $35 for the repair seminar.
Please contact Nanaimo Dive Outfitters at 250 756-1863 or info@nanaimodiveoutfitters.ca if you are interested in attending this event.
For you Meg owners there will be a Manta, a BOV and maybe some other goodies to try out as well

Unless things have changed up there. When I was a member of the CR Tide Rippers I was the only one without a horse collar BCD and chrome plated 2nd stage. Great bunch of folks, just a little old school.
Hope you guys can make it.
