Watched a little TV... watched the rain come down for a while... read my Alert Diver magazine... did a little contruction in the house... checked out the new Sport Chalet in the Santa Anita Mall... ate too much food at Dave and Busters... worked on putting together a little cheat sheet to stick in my Wet Notes... listened to a little music... went out for Mexican food and margaritas... spent some time between all of the different activities here on SB.

That's the Reader's Digest version.

I think I'll start plans for that new ark that I'll be needing pretty soon.

I've squeezed in a few dives over the last month. But the last two weeks have been the pits. The operators and buddies are all canceling. :06:

I've spent the last two weeks putting together my new dive configuration. Bought some new stuff. Plenty of time to surf the web looking for ideas, etc. :admin:

:sunny One thing about SD is that the sun won't stay away too long. :bravo:

I also had plenty of time to fully explore the smiley catalog.

THe weather was great between xmas and new years!?!?! oh yeah, I was in Saba/Statia/St. Kitts :) Haven't even re assembled the backplate or UW camera yet

SInce then, work, gym, working on pics and movies (Aviator - a bit long, but very good)

Been at the show (CES) since Wed AM. Staying in a Penthouse suite in Bellagio, suffering for the company.

It snowed in Vegas - I was cracking up. I'm finally back, trying to shake the surreal and get back into my normal, boring life.

Not a fan of the rain.

What to do on the third rainy day in a row?
I reread many of my dive logs of the past year and relived the enthusiasm captured in the comments. Diving makes me feel constantly grateful...for the beauty and complexity of the near-shore ocean, the physical challenges and thrills of diving, and the joyous companionship of so many wonderful diving friends.
And with the rain bucketed down without pause, the water the color of chocolate, and Monday morning fast approaching, I need all the gratefulness I can muster!!!

Time to visualize great weather and fun diving at Casino Point on Saturday 1/15....ahhhh, that's better.....
Cheerio,

Yes, I can visualize it too... 100+ ft visibility, warm sunshine with temperatures in the mid 80's, beautiful sandy beaches with tropical reefs a short surface swim away... oops, that's not Casino Point. I must be daydreaming about SE Asia or the Caribbean or...

As if a desperately thirsty person could sip leisurely!! I especially loved the shocked senorita (...no diving in a week...ugh!), Krowsea's milk carton announcement, and the mexichromis (sp?) nudibranch....wow! Why, I'm can almost imagine a little elevation in my serum nitrogen levels...
Better living through vicarious thrills :D !
Really, thank you for sharing your beautiful photographs...inspirational.
