No idea who the guy in the pic was so I blurred him out. His buddy was trying out his doubles.

Stopped in on the way up north to snap a photo of the ice conditions and there it was...open water.

Probably still going to have a lot of trouble with drifts right now but it's a start.

Here's the proof:
 
Depends where you are on Georgian Bay. I'm diving in it in less than 12 hours, and it's open where I am. Some drift ice floes every now and then, but nothing serious.

Drifts what drifts??
 
What about the buoy is there a date to release it ?

( Is it sunk or do we have to float a new one ? )
 
I take nobody knows the water temperature :eek:)
