To make a long story short, while on work trip I drove down from Orlando to West Palm to do a boat trip with Jim Abernathy Scuba. Mother natures was a bitch and the boats were all canceled about 10 minutes before I hit town.

Anyway, not only did the guys at JAS rent me tank and gave me map of BHB as a plan B, one of them actually escorted me to the site and gave me a personal dive brief on site. The result is I had a nice 2 hour dive and they have a loyal customer. Hopefully mother nature will be in a better mode next week and I can get back on a boat.

I've been on their charters as well, great outfit with awesome crew. I will dive with them again, highly recommended.

I've been out with them on two different dive trips. Both times were awesome. I have never dove BHB and would love to do so. Very nice backup plan. I'm impressed that they took care of you like that. Very nice indeed.

I had a great time for half the time with JAS when I dove with them a year ago.

We had some large swells, and I ended up "feeding the fishes" over the starboard side, and a few of the staff kept bringing me glasses of water, checking on me, and assuring me that it happens all the time to all kinds of divers. I was having a great day until the ride home, and then I was having a horrible day, but they did their best to make me feel better and it was much appreciated. Their crew went above and beyond IMHO, and it was reflected in their tips.

I ended up diving with them 3 more days when the weather returned.

I kept telling myself I should try one of the other boats just to see new sights. Their consistent good dives / well run team made that difficult to do. They only repeated one dive (the Corridor) which I could have done a dozen times (multiple wrecks chock full of critters). We end up at the Zion (huge Goliath groupers) and shark canyon. A fitting way to top off my vacation and no complaints.

One other thing...

On my trip a year ago, we ended up at JAS because boats were cancelled in the gulf due to a storm. While talking with the crew on our dives, and mentioning that we missed diving the Speigel Grove, they informed us that they thought the weather had turned, and then proceeded to call down to Quiesence in Key Largo to see if we could get a spot on a boat to dive the SG, and we did.

First time I have ever heard of a dive operation putting the needs of the diver first, and sending them off to another dive operation, although I'm sure there are others out there.

I did my checkout dives with JAS... GREAT divemasters...kept it light and fun... provided food, drinks, fantastic time... not to mention cheaper rates than anybody in the area. I hate to say it but it's hard to honestly come up with a reason to go with anybody else. Not to mention not bad looking divemasters  I forget her name but it was a pleasure having her on the boat  lol
