Any recommendations on the best options for diving in June? It seems that all of the Andaman Sea liveaboards are booked up so I may be limited to shore based diving. I dove about a year ago in the Similans and Kho Lak and was disappointed by the hordes or boats and divers. Is the weather suitable in the Koh Lanta area in June? Thanks in advance for any information.

Koh Lanta is Andaman Sea and the national parks there will be closed, including Koh Haa and Hin Daeng and Hin Muang.

Having said that, the best diving you'll find on the Andaman Coast, year round, so that includes Lanta. Options will be a bit limited from Lanta that time of year due to a lack of divers. Phi Phi, Ao Nang and Phuket are in that respect better options.
