We are supposed to be heading out to Grand Cayman on Saturday 5/31 - the forecast is showing > 60% of rain from Sunday through Thursday as of right now. Is this something to be worried about or just typical June weather? Supposed to be diving in the morning and hitting the beach in the afternoon - not sure if is worth the trip if it's supposed to be washed out all week. Thanks

I was there last week and it was pretty much the same, occasional showers. No problem for diving in the sheltered areas, but the waves might keep you off the north side walls(winds coming out the the NNE).

No----just keep an 'eye on the sky' for any tropical weather may decide to come by you.......But, that's fairly early into hurricane season, August & Sept is much more likely...

Appreciate the replies - hoping not to get there and be cooped up all week.

What was the water temp while you were there?

About 82 as I recall. 3mm suit was comfy, no hood.

Summer weather falls into a reliable pattern. Highs in mid to upper 80s. Lows to upper 70s. Chance of rain 30%, mostly brief and intense afternoon downpours. The most variable part of the weather forecast is wind direction and speed.

But if a tropical system develops, all bets are off.
