We are currently filming for our new Florida Freedive & Adventure Series across the state and last week we made our first stop in the Florida Keys. On our second day we had a private boat tour at Robbies Of Islamorada with Captain Brian of Satisfaction Boat Tours to go lobstering and freediving. After catching a few lobster we headed out to an awesome spot called Alligator lighthouse where we swam with millions of fish and after seeing several baracuda I asked the captain if he knew of somewhere we could find bigger ones. About 5 minutes from the lighthouse there are 2 buoys in a deeper channel and as we pulled up we saw several 5 foot+ baracuda as well as a 10 foot hammerhead shark chasing them. We quickly geared up and got in the water where I dove down after a baracuda and once I was about 15 feet down I looked to my left and was face to face with the 10 foot shark. The shark circled me several times coming so close that he bumped me on the last pass. This was definitely one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life and we are super stoked on the footage!
Enjoy!
