Key West resort course ?

A friend of mine wants to try diving during his trip to Key West in a few days. He'll be staying in Old Town near Duval and Angela St. Please recommend a place for him to take a resort dive class and do a couple dives. I appreciate the helpful information.

Good Morning...Check with SouthPoint Divers. Boat is located at the Hyatt and the shop is right across from the hotel on front street. Shannon at the shop will get you all squared away. The number is 305-292-9778.

SPD has the nicest boat and a friendly crew.

I heard recently that Southpoint lost its PADI certification.... I seem to recall that it was once a 5-Star center. Does anyone know about this? Any recent feedback about this op? I'll be heading down in a few months and would like to dive with them again -- enjoyed my last experience with them in '03.

I'd highly recommend Subtropic. Great people, nice boats...
