I've begun to get involved with a program in California called the Disabled Veterans SCUBA Project.
It's similar to Soldiers Undergoing Disabled SCUBA (SUDS), out of Washington, DC.
It's nice to be able to assist these guys as they expand their capabilities and skills.

Our program Disabled Veterans SCUBA Project is currently teaching a double above the knee amputee, plus some quadraplegics to SCUBA dive. We, the supposedly able bodied place more barrirers in the path of the handicapped than the handicapp does. It is amazing what can be done when you want to and are left free to try.
