O.K.:

I am one of those atlantic coastal river divers and have recently taken a break from that kind of diving due to the abundance of rays. In clear water rays are not a problem you can avoid them. In black water they are very hard to see.

Can anyone calm my fears of all the rays I am seeing scooting out of my way as I am diving?
1. Does anyone know much about their temperament etc? I know they are not vicious but that if you land on them they will sting you.

2. Does anyone know their travel patterns such as in summer they stay mainly in river and winter they move out to ocean.

3. Is their a wet or dry suit that is resistant to the sting?

I have been diving rivers for about 3 years and I had never notice till this year that they were so many. I have heard lots of horror storys about stings so I am real skittish at this point.

thanks for your help!
