Batfish:
Desultory - good attitude! We get quite a lot of experienced divers in this area in the summer, looking to take advantage of uncrowded boats, cheap hotels etc..A British diver is unlikely to be put off by a bit of rain.

Seeing a dive through anothers eyes is a good way to approach a dive as an instructor.

Doing 500 dives a year in the UK will definitely change your mind about 5m viz! Especially in 27degC water.
Plus if its raining then the gear gets washed earlier than planned on the way home!

As an instructor if you can continue to get excited about the humble sea cucumber every dive, then your attitude will be infectious to your students. They will appreciate the small stuff as well as the horrible, sun-blocking, smelly whale sharks!!

I mean, when presented with a cute little orange or black frog fish, or a lumbering 14m double-decker bus in a stonking current with your mask being dislodged from your face, and you making the sides of your tank touch each other because you want to watch this leviathan amble through a current that makes you like a flag, what would you rather have?

The Whale shark? <sheepish> yeah me too. But it was worth a try!

Gotta love the small stuff, they feel lonely without love!
