This is completely non-diving related, but this is the type of act that makes you proud to be part of a community like Vienna, VA.
We have a young man who is a Soph in HS this year who was diagnosed with a nasty form of skin cancer two years ago. He underwent treatment with positive results, but recently he had a relapse and the prognosis is not good. The young man played in Vienna Little League and his story caught the attention of John who had coached in VLL and played a few years for the White Sox.
John has offered to give hitting leasons at his indoor batting cage for $30, all money going directly to the boy's family to help defray some medical costs and to try to make the boy's life as good as it can be for as long as it can be. What a great and generous idea.
