I'll be in Lake Placid for about a week in Sept for a business meeting and wonder if anyone can recommend some dive sites/ops. I can probably drive up to 2 hrs. or so. I've only been to NYC, so know nothing about this area. If the water's much colder than 68F this time of year I'm probably out of luck, though.

Hi Dave.

The Lake Effect Divers are a sub-forum of the GLWC. They could probably answer this best. You may want to ask for this thread to be moved there.

Good luck!

Moved to Lake Effect divers for better exposure to the locals :D

If you want warm water diving, head up to the St Lawrence River. It'd be worth the drive.
(sorry I don't know how far it would be).
