ERP here is a photo of the way I have my bolt snap attached... I've done it different ways in the past... this is what I have right now.
Also, per our conversation, the top knurled ring is for tightening the glass down onto the o-ring seal and the bottom knurled ring is the beam adjustment.
In the photo you can barely make out the embossed focus icon on the barrel of the light immediately above the lower knurled ring.
