Sunday when most dive areas were closed due to hurrican Dennis or waves were too high to go out on a dive boat we decided to dive one of our favorite springs, Blue Spring in Orange City, FL. Because of the rain and overcast sky we found that we had the park to ourselves, no picnics, no sunbathers, no swimmers. Our first dive into the spring waters found us looking at a cementblock at about 50'. This clearly didn't belong in our beautiful spring. So we decided to get it out of there. Out came one of our SMB which we attached to the block. We then gently floated it up and out of the spring, down the river, and put it into a trashbin. By the time we were floating it down the river a few kids were swimming in the river diving down to get a view of what we were doing. On the surface it must have looked a little weird seeing out red and yellow SMB sticking out of the water moving slowly down the river. Anyhow, attached are a few pictures of the Great Cement Block Removal.

Its amazing how fun simple things can be while you're UW :D

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to throw away this brick!

Thanks for the story, seemed like you guys had a good time. I wish I could say I did some diving over the weekend. Unfortunately, I was too busy hiding from big bad Dennis.
