Hey There,

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on a pair of shorter fins. I'm looking to spend less than $150 (preferably around 100). Right now I have Tusa Xpert Zooms (SF-8) and they just feel uncomfortably long.

Really long fins like as in free-diving style? Some of the most amazing short fins are 300-400 dollars, but the same company Forcefin.com makes stuff as low as 80.00 ... friends of mine swear by them. The more expensive ones can be customized and personalized for each customer. You may like the softness of scubapro twin jets ... I've seen them retail below 150.00, online stores anyway.

forcefins are really good. you can use them w/o booties too because they have a neoprene strap.

If you like short fins, check out Mares Volo powers, there kind of short, but a really comfortable fin w/ good snap.

Jet Fin has my vote too.

Aren't the XpertZooms the split fins made by TUSA? Well if it is, then they're just as long as many of the fins being recommended, except maybe for the Force fins. Force fins are quite short. And quite expensive. I say stick with what you have and do more dives. The more dives you do the more comfortable you'll become with your equipment. The only good reason there is to switch gear is if it's inappropriate for the kind of diving you're into or if they're causing serious discomfort.
