Lookin for buddy, big island (hilo side?) June 27-July 11

Hey I'm gonna be visiting Hilo area June 27-July 11. Hoping to do some shore diving if possible. trying not to spend too much. Last year had a nice time at Puako (?). loved it with the swimthroughs and formations (thanks Mari, still there?) and Richardson's in Hilo was very cool too. I'll probably be there for most of the two weeks on the beach... Any other good local spots? Anyone up for a dive? I'm a rescue diver, currently living in MN. Looking forward to some ocean!

I might have a new BP/W setup so if messin' with that, ie getting weights situated, would bother you I don't want to be a pain. might just rent b/c but kinda on the verge of buying one. (Scubatoys Diverite package if anyone's got any words on that too! much apreciated!) I'll be moving to the ocean soon. time to do it. might want to try out travel size backplate though?

Anyway, main priority is just getting wet. Let me know of you're interested-aloha-jono

p.s. might be able to swing a north side excursion, not sure of details of trip yet. mostly hangin' with fam that don't dive. think i got plenty of time for whatever

SCUBA DIVERS- 9:00 SHARP AT LELEIWI BEACH PARK. COME PREPARED FOR A 45-60 MINUTE DIVE TO 60 FEET WITH PAUL AND THE GANG. LAST ONE IN IS A ROTTEN EGG! Reserve tanks , bc, regulators, weights etc at Sun and Sea Hawaii 808-934-0902. Full reg and weights with bcd rental is only $35. Tank rental is $10-please pick up Saturday the 2nd by 3:30 p.m.
