Over the weekend I bought a Perdix. I am looking for a computer for my 15yo son but as his commitment to this hobby is uncertain I do not want spend the $$ on another Perdix. My local dive group suggested I get him a Petrel. The algos are identical and thus our profiles will be a close match when diving together. The worst case is I would end up with a good backup should eh not continue with diving. All that said, if anyone has a Petrel they want to get rid of please let me know.
