A lot of the Maui SB'ers are working divers, and working divers are pretty much diving with clients non-stop right now. The boats are mostly full so stand by discounts for locals are non existent.
We have had a couple years with limited tourists, and now it is finally busy again. If one still has a job in tourism one plans to dive in September.
Pick a dive site, show up with all your gear to dive and there are people to dive with. Most of the divers that visit Maui do not know SB exists.
