I'm coming to San Diego JUly 4th week-end and hoping to do some diving Friday and Saturday. I have dove from San Diego's "Dive Connection" on 3 different visits over the years and have been to the little Coronado Islands, and the wrecks of the Yucon and the Ruby E.
The Dive Connection seems to be a very good operation and I have enjoyed diving with them, the crock pot lunch is always a welcome sight during the surface interval, something I haven't seen from a lot of operations I have dove with on the east coast. I may dive with them again this trip but they seem to only ofer repeats to these same places and I would like to see some different sights since I don't get there very often.
I was hoping some of you might know of some alternatives.
Thanks Steve

Steve,

Try one of these two, in addition to Dive Connections. Don't forget to tell the operators where you've been so far, and ask what else they could offer in the area. Scripps Canyon would be near the top of my list, as would the Ruby E. or the N.O.S.C. tower. Don't forget, depending on how much time you have, Catalina Island has several charters making day trips out of Long Beach or L.A.
