Looking to go beach diving on Saturday, need viz/condition report. Wondering if this storm out in the Atlantic is churning things up.

Looks ok from a weather standpoint. Bathtub and Jupiter inlet cams looked pretty good today too.

Tonight
Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet with a dominant period 8 seconds. Mostly smooth on the intracoastal waters. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Saturday
South winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet with a dominant period 11 seconds. A light chop on the intracoastal waters. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Saturday Night
South winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southwest after midnight. Seas 2 to 3 feet with a dominant period 11 seconds. Mostly smooth on the intracoastal waters. Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Sunday
Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southeast in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 feet. A light chop on the intracoastal waters. Scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Was out all day. Calm seas, 4kt surface current, temps at 70-80ft - mid 60's...

Valhalla-- 4 kt current--- that is pretty ripping. How did you get back to the boat...

Did you ever end up going? We went off Pepper Park (n of Ft Pierce inlet) Saturday morning and viz was pretty spotty, from 3 to 10 to 15 ft. The long period swells were starting to roll in from the storm. Temps were a chilly 71°. Let's hope things get better this weekend.

eye witness vis report from bahtub yesterday afternoon was 'arms length visibility and seaweed'

We wound up doing a cloudy, rainy, storm dive Saturday afternoon around 5. The viz was about 10-15 at best, it was dark from the storm and hard to see under the ledges even with lights. The surge got pretty annoying so we called the dive about 45 minutes into it. Temp was around 74 and we only saw 3 short bugs and maybe one shoot-able size mangrove.

What's viz like at pepper park this weekend. Only have sunday off for a dive.
