This is probably a simple identification, but I'm at a loss. It's in Key Largo in March at about 30 feet.

Common Name: Atlantic guitarfish
Scientific Name: Rhinobatos lentiginosus
 
Yes. Definately Atlantic Guitarfish. We saw a mating pair in Costa Rica (Shovelnose Guitarfish - Pacific side) last summer. First dive of the trip, no camera on that dive. Didn't see another one for the entire trip. We weren't sure what they were when we saw them. We had to consult the Humann books when we got back to shore. Great find!
 
for the identification. I did not know if it was unusual to see these. I actually have a nice shot of a barracude hovering over this guitarfish.
