So, lesson learned from diving the Spiegel Grove today in ripping current: when you jump off the boat and the deckhand yells at you to "Grab the yellow rope! Grab the yellow rope!", make sure it's actually the yellow rope you've grabbed and not your own yellow pony hose.

It's not nearly as effective.
 
Hilarious. I have made that jump several times. Getting in is the easy part, getting out is like riding a bucking bronc.
 
I dove the Spiegel the same day, wonder if we were on the same boat? That was my second time on that wreck and I was amazed that the current was worse than the first time. That was the first of 7 dives this weekend and the rest were beautiful conditions. Felt like you were going to fly away when you let go of the line!
