Just got back two days ago from a weekend trip to the 7 skies wreck and Pulau Aur.
My advice would be to go for it.
The two dives we did on the wreck were brilliant with visibility in excess of 20m and virtually no current. We dived at around 8.30 and 10.30am.
Top of the funnel is at 22m. The main deck is at 47m. Most of the interesting stuff (bridge/ wheelhouse) is between 35 and 40m.
Our trip was organised by Marsden Brothers using a boat chartered from Vincent Diving. Both outfits are based in Singapore.
The hardest part of the trip was the overnight ride out to the site. It was a little rough and wet, but was worth it in the end.
The follow up dives at Pulau Aur were pretty much standard East Coast Malaysia dives - reasonable visibility, lots of big and small fish - easy and fun.
Cheers,
Andy
