I hope you can help with an historical enquiry. Mares Concorde long-bladed fins were popular in the 1970s, particularly with freedivers:
1. Can you confirm that the Mares moulds for these fins passed to the Turkish company Adililar Kauçuk of Istanbul, whose own Concorde fins not only share the name but also closely resemble Mares Concordes:
2. The fins have a signature towards the tips of the blades and I understand that the same signature appeared on the Mares Concorde originals. The signature is reproduced below. Can you tell me whose signature it is? I can't decipher the handwriting!
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me with the above questions. It would help me immensely with my historical research on diving equipment.
