Hi all,

New to this forum and need help and advice.
Have been using the Mares Hybrid Pro Tech for 5years.

Issue: Two of the built-in loops (one side only) that hold the wing bungee cord broke. Causing the bladder to inflate unevenly.

The bcd and bladder condition is still in very good condition. Need to find out if there is any ideas on how to fix th bungee loops.

Attached picture to highlight the loops that broke.

Hi, did you manage to resolve the problem?
Aren't workarounds?

Mine just happened.. Both sides 😞

If the BC is rather new, I would contact the dive shop you purchased it from to see if it is under warranty. If it isn't I would take it to a tailor or seamstress to see if they can make you a new loop. You may want to remove the bladder first (if possible). Finally if all else fails, I would punch grommets into the shell and re-string the bungie.

If you stitch some webbing through the binding, outside the bladder seal, she'll be apples

Can you bartack

Thanks for the tip, Sirs.
As you can see from the pix, it's a little tricky ... But am thinking of sewing loops in place using of course similar textile if possible ...

I faced the same problem and was able to solve it. I even test the solution, I replaced all the loops as shown in the picture. The tailor doubled the stitching three times to ensure that the loops do not come loose during diving. Please make sure of the quality of the stitching and the belt and be careful not to puncture the buoyancy cell. Please remember that the threads and belts loosen after being immersed in water, so make sure to sew them as shown and also make sure to cut the webbing with heat.
