Mares Vector Origin XL lift

I am normally the google king but I just cannot find any numbers for the lift on the older Mares Vector Origin size XL (when the "Mares" labels were black and white). All I can find is the Large size - 12kg (26.5lbs). Unless some handy soul has the magic number I'll just do my own measure next weekend.

According to the user's guide, the XL Origin ("1000" model) has 151 N of lift (33.9 lbs). They rate the L at 115 N, or 25.6 lbs.

Maybe the 1000 is also close to the older VO at XL too.

I also found a user's guide dated 2001: the "original Origin" had a 840 nylon bladder, only one manual valve (right hip), and only one pocket. The newer Origins have a Cordura 1000 bladder, shoulder and hip valves and two pockets; the Mares website still calls that the "Origin", but it's an "Origin 1000" in the user's guide.

And I've seen some with black-and-white labels, too. Go figure...

Mares make it easier that way.

The good review in scubadiving.com for the vector origin are for the 1000. I should have skipped buying this online!
