markings of Threads

Hi, when I see the list of threats, I see at the bigining of the line, an envelope that is sometimes open, sometimes closed, some times red sometimes blue. Any significance to these different images? Thanks

They're listed at the bottom left of every individual Sub-forum screen when you're not viewing a specific thread or post:



There are also custom Scuba icons used in the top level Forum list or Sub-Forum views - they're only found at the bottom of the main forum list - http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/forum.php afaik:
