The Mars Science Laboratory, Curiosity, has landed. Thought people might be interested.
It's pretty cool. I was watching a live feed of the NASA command center, and everyone was so excited. A culmination of the launch in November to the landing now. Quite nerve-wracking, when you have a vehicle going from a few thousand miles per hour to near stopping velocity in a matter of minutes. But it was successful, and they took a photo of the surface. It'll be interesting to see what it finds, and if it finds any evidence of life, in the next couple of years.
